Hi dear, We are using 8-pin GPIO USB modules in one of the our important products. This will be deployed at customer environment where there will be lots of physical disturbances to the cables, which is giving fluctuations while sensing the voltages from GPIO. Please suggest us, what kind of insulation is required and can you suggest us whether any tight connector like Phoenix can be mounted on this GPIO. Thanks you & Regards, Anand
Hello Anand, In my opinion, shielding should help, but there is no way to give a definite answer because EMI shielding is a very complicated subject and needs to be designed for specific situations. In most cases, properly shielded cables can make a lot of difference. The following links have some useful information. http://www.analog.com/media/en/training-seminars/tutorials/MT-095.pdf https://www.dataforth.com/catalog/pdf/an508.pdf http://www.l-com.com/content/Article.aspx?Type=N&ID=10105 EMI filters are also a possibility, especially if you think you are being affected by specific frequencies (Eg: Electrical mains). Murata has some useful information available at the link below. http://www.murata.com/en-global/products/emc/emifil/knowhow Depending on the importance of the situation, you may also want to consider consulting an EMI/RFI expert. Thanks, Tom
