Hello! There is no output through UART while firmware from Exercise 5 is loaded. All the compilation and synthesis processes were finished successfully. The board itself is OK, because I've tested J2 softcore and Linux on it. There were no communication problems. I suppose, something wrong with my MicroBlaze project. I did not find any bitstream file for that project on your site to test my board with it. Please help me to understand my mistake. And many thanks for great board With regards, Maksim
Hi Maksim, Are you by any chance using older MimasV2 BSB? There was an issue with older BSB which was rectified last month. I would suggest you to try with latest BSB files for MimasV2. Also, you could share your project so that we can take a look at it and see what's wrong with that. Regards, Rohit
Rohit, I've used the latest BSB from Numato site. Now my result is different, I can see some symbols transferred, but they are misplaced - please check the picture. I can't attach my project, because the engine here does not allow to upload archives. The project is just as in your tutorial, with no changes. Thanks! With regards, Maksim
I've tested it on different PCs, sometimes it works good, sometimes not, 50/50 or about it. The Mimas board was the same and FPGA firmware was not changed during that test. All the PCs were different, with OS Windows 7 and 10, x32 and x64. Any suggestions? Thanks for help!
Hi Maksim, Any chance you are using baudrate other than 19200? MimasV2 only works with 19200 baudrate. If you could send me your project, I can take a look at it. Regards, Rohit
Rohit, baudrate is 19200, it was checked more than once. How can I send my project to you? It was done just from the tutorial, step by step, as was mentioned above. Thank you! With regards, Maksim
Hello, Where can I find the BSB for the mimas V2? The link in the documentation don't work. (https://docs.numato.com/kb/learning-fpga-verilog-beginners-guide-part-5-embedded-system/) Regards -R
