I have a couple of the 16 channel GPIO/USB boards on order for evaluation. My proposed application will have a rotary quadrature encoder potentially capable of sending up to 1000 changes per second, possibly more, on two GPIO pins. I'd be grateful for some input on the following:

    1. What is the maximum speed that the GPIO pins can be toggled at in input mode, assuming that I use the GPIO Notify feature to send changes back to the host?

    2. What is the maximum serial I/O baud rate to the host?

It may be that the USB version can't handle the data rate that the rotary encoder will produce. I could use the Ethernet version instead.

    3. Would the Ethernet version provide faster GPIO pin toggle rates?

    4. What's the maximum Telnet interface speed for the Ethernet version ?

    5. The GPIO Notify command appears to be missing from the Ethernet version. Is that the case, or is it just an omission on the web site?

    Many thanks!

    John.
